Kunzum Top

Kunzum Pass is one of the highest motorable passes across the Kunzum range at an altitude of 4551 m.It serves as an entrance pass to the Spiti valley from Lahaul. Goddess Kunjum (Durga/Parvati) resides in a temple on the Kunzum top and keeps guard over the pass and wards of the evil. Visitors normaly do a round around the temples to seek blessings. Chandratal Lake is 7 km from Kunzum Pass.

While traveling to the Kunzum Pass one can view the Bara-Sigri Glacier, the second largest Glacier in the world.

The top of the valley offers a spectacular landscape with majestic Chandra Bhaga ranges surrounding it on the north sides with snow clapped peaks and massive glaciers threatening to block the valley any moment.The other side is the Spiti valley with its dessert like terrain.

There is no tourist facilities here and the nearest village is Losar (16 km).
